SENIOR CAMPAIGN ADVISORS
A native of Concord, Massachusetts, Toby earned a Political Science degree from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Toby served both Presidents Clinton and Obama in the White House and serves as the chief strategic advisor to the campaign. His experience includes senior roles at PBS, the Children's Defense Fund, and Planned Parenthood. His professional focus has been to bridge the worlds of online engagement and offline movements, social and communications, and increasingly diverse and multicultural populations.
Senior Strategic Advisor
Mark Longabaugh has over twenty years of experience in politics and media. Prior to becoming a partner at Devine Mulvey Longabaugh, Mark founded and was a partner in Wild Bunch Media. He has written ads that have won seven Pollie Awards; as well as produced ad campaigns that have helped win over a dozen House and Senate Campaigns. Mark has served in leadership roles at two national environmental groups and has had high-profile roles in several presidential campaigns. His firm served as senior advisor to the Bernie Sanders campaign, producing the “America” ad considered to be one of the top Presidential ads of the 2016 election cycle. MSNBC's Joe Scarborough called it the ad of year, saying, “its one of the most hopeful ads we’ve seen in a very long time.”
Senior Strategic Advisor
Tad Devine has worked extensively in American political campaigns. In 2016 he served as Chief Strategist for Bernie Sanders campaign, and his firm produced the acclaimed and award winning media for that campaign. Tad is considered one of the leading experts on the Democratic Party’s presidential nominating process and general election strategy. His work in presidential politics began in 1980 on President Carter’s campaign. He worked for Walter Mondale in 1984 and Governor Michael Dukakis in 1988. In the general election that year, he served as Campaign Manager for the Vice Presidential nominee, Senator Lloyd Bentsen of Texas. In 1992, Tad was Campaign Manager for Senator Bob Kerrey’s campaign for President.
Senior Media Advisor
Julian Mulvey is a democratic media consultant and partner at the firm Devine Mulvey Longabaugh. He has produced advertising for four winning US Senators, one Governor, two European heads of state, several Congressmen and dozens of other leaders across America. “A persuasive ad should be authentic to the candidate, strike an emotional chord and tell a story,” he says. Julian graduated from Boston University. He was a research assistant at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government and former Crew Member of the Month at McDonald’s restaurant, in Winchester, England.
National Polling Advisor
Jeffrey Liszt is a native of Charlottesville, Virginia by way of the University of Chicago. He is a partner in Anzalone Liszt Grove Research, a nationally-recognized Democratic polling firm. Along with partner John Anzalone, Jeff polled for the 2008 Obama Presidential campaign in seven states, including Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida. He has polled for Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and Democratic Governors Association independent expenditures. His non-political work includes extensive polling on healthcare, conservation, energy, and education. Jeff is an Ironman triathlete and currently lives in New York City.
Massachusetts Polling Advisor
Matt is a Partner in the Massachusetts office of Anzalone Liszt Grove. Matt has polled for the Democratic nominee in the past four U.S. presidential elections, including polling for President Obama in the key states of Florida, Virginia, Nevada and North Carolina for his 2012 re-election campaign. Matt has also polled for the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), the Democratic Governors Association (DGA), and for candidates at all levels of government, from Mayor to U.S. Senate, as well as on issues such as healthcare, education, tax policy, immigration reform, and internet access. Matt holds a masters degree in public policy from Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government and a B.A. in History from James Madison University.
